Mobile Physician group is proud to introduce Kara Marino. She brings a wealth of experience and a passion for providing compassionate care to patients in need. Kara's journey in the medical field began when she had a complicated childbirth in October 2002, and the person that helped her the most was her nurse. Her nurse was so compassionate and caring. At that moment, Kara knew she wanted to return to nursing school.
She Graduated from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in May 2006, with her BSN while pregnant with her second child. A couple years later, her father fell ill with cancer, and her mother soon followed. As she gravitated around medical society to find her parents the best possible care, she soon realized that the care was lacking for the aging population. Kara then decided to go back to school to obtain her master's in nursing in 2012 from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. In 2018, she received her Certificate in Gerontology from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. This career choice offers Kara personal and professional fulfillment by providing crucial healthcare services and improving the quality of life for the aging population. She has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years, and a Nurse Practitioner for 12 years. She has worked with women, children, newborns, adults, and the elderly. She has experience in many settings including clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, homecare, behavioral health, palliative care and hospice.
